Project Information

As Deputy Project Manager for China Merchants Heavy Industry, Shane’s task was primarily to manage the design, supply, fabrication, transportation and installation of 14000+ tons of structural steel.

This included weekly factory inspections with the Client (Hong Kong Airport Authority), in the Shekou and Panyu Provinces in the Pearl River Delta. Strict compliance inspections, coupled with safe transportation methods (by barge & road), ensured successful delivery to site, with efficient and safe installation. 

Additionally, all project documentation (Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Inspection & Test Plans, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Health, Safety and Environmental Plans, and Quality Plans) were drafted by Shane for approval through the Main Contractor, Project Engineer and Client.
