Employed by Leighton Contractors, Simon initially worked on the package for the design, fabrication and installation of the external awnings of the Wynn Palace facade. Although based in Macau most weeks were spent at factories in China and Hong Kong overseeing the fabrication of the different awning elements  including steel sub-frames, FRP shells and decorative lighting troughs, fabric panels, painted soffit panels and multiple lighting effects.

 

With extensive high-end fit-out experience Simon was moved to the interiors team and co-ordinated the works to complete the resort’s Spa area. This consisted of treatment rooms, gymnasium, retail, café, Jacuzzi and plunge pools, nail & beauty salon, main promenade area and BOH plant & equipment rooms. With a fast-moving programme and evolving design the co-ordination of multiple sub-contractors and MEP teams was key to progress.
