DHL Central Asia Hub

Project Information

Working as Construction Manager for the Main Contractor, ISG Asia, Simon’s role was to oversee the successful execution of the A&A Works at Phase Two of the DHL Central Asia Hub at HKIA. 

 

Works included construction of two internal foot bridges, a new Custom & Excise office and inspection facility, construction and fit-out of a new staff canteen, provision of E&M works for the new parcel sorting equipment and installation of new roof-top chiller plant.

Key to delivery of the project was the co-ordination of multi-national teams (German, Danish, Dutch, Chinese & English), close liaison with the client in what was an operational parcel-sorting facility and working with the Airport Authority for night works enabling crane access to deliver the large chiller plant from the adjacent aircraft apron.
